Freedom of Information Act

The library’s FOIA officer and FOIA policy must be listed on the library’s website.  This law went into effect 1/1/10.  These two elements must be posted, regardless of who manages the website and their work schedule.  See Rose’s post from January: http://trusteeconnections.wordpress.com/2010/01/13/new-freedom-of-information-act-in-effect/. Note that the FOIA officer must complete training by June 30, 2010, if he/she hasn’t already.  I’ve attached a handout from an online workshop that was held, and also Rolling Prairie put up some info that may be of some help: Memo on FOIA/OMA and Documents.
